Let me briefly point out that my truly better half’s article on the presidential candidates had already drawn thousands of readers from around our industry, and is getting attention from outside MH nationally too.
As of last night, The Gateway Pundit and over 600 others news and political commentary sites have picked it up. This morning, that total had more than doubled, to over 1400 – see screen capture below.
This is a good sign for MH and our trade media platforms – MHProNews and MHLivingNews – on many levels. It demonstrates our ability to get mainstream media coverage on topics from an MH perspective. We did this thousands of times last year, as one of the articles in our new Amazing April Showers line up, found below demonstrates.
MH Projects vs. MH Reporting
Our team wears multiple hats in the MH space. Marketing, training, videos, recruiting and PR are among the services we provide industry firms like yours. We are widely known for our twin, industry leading, trade media platforms – MHProNews and MHLivingNews.
When it comes to MH industry reporting or analysis, while mindful of our friends, we take a pro-MHIndustry stance in our writing and reports, while seeking accuracy for the sake of all. The two are mutually complimentary.
We showcase good news as often as possible.
Why is accuracy and drawing attention to problematic issues important? By way of analogy, a consultant who fails to advise a client about a problem area the consultant uncovers – even if the client doesn’t want to hear about the problem – is failing in his duty to a client.
Similarly, a trade publisher that sees a problem area and fails to report it, is failing their audience and faithful readers. Credibility on issues is enhanced with proper reporting, and thoughtful commentary. FYI – as on all issues relating to MH, we certainly invite other points of view in the form of industry guest comments.
You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know or understand its causes
What does that mean if some one, thing or entity has screwed up? Well, you can’t make Omelets without cracking some eggshells. Nor can you make someone happy if you expose them or call someone to account for their actions.
Hey, we all make mistakes. What happens after the error is noticed? Does the responsible party or persons take responsibility? Do they do what is needed to correct the issue? Those are what counts.
The majority of those in MH today are and strive to do things right. Some – for whatever reason(s) – don’t.
When someone is in a position of authority – as HUD’s Pam Danner is – and a pattern that is problematic to MH develops, as pro industry trade journalists, we have to call that out for scrutiny. We also need to look at what caused the errors in the first place.
The MH Industry is poised for serious growth. Billions have been and are being invested in this sector, as some of the articles below will reflect.
Without spotlighting problems as well as opportunities, the chances for growth are limited. Sweeping an issue under the rug is usually a fine way of creating a pile of dirt that will be found later on.
To fuel more sustainable and profitable MH growth, we’re presenting in Amazing April 2016 a series of articles on an array of topics. We hope you’ll find many of these useful to you and your colleagues or team members.
With no further adieu, let’s dive into this month’s Featured articles, videos and reports on MHProNews.com.
