Thanks to the wonders of iPads, iPhones and the wireless web world, I'm able to stop at a Subway outside of Joplin, MO to write this post. Public days for the 2012 Great Southwest Home Show are well underway, with over 1000 MH shoppers having passed the turn stiles at the Quik Trip Center at Expo Square in Tulsa OK by 3 PM. When we say "1000," the MHAO only counts adults, not children, in that total. Some stills and videos from Trade and Public days are posted on the Masthead blog, thanks to Joe G's on our team holding down the IT fort of the weekend for us. Thanks so much, Joe! Click here to see the sights and sounds of the Show so far.
We have also had a busy start of the week in DC. You can capture snap shots and video clips from the MHI Legislative session at this link here. You can meet MHI's new President and learn much more at the link above and by staying tuned to our Daily Business News, MHI and MHARR news departments.
Perhaps it is the 'one stop shop' for all news manufactured and factory built housing. Perhaps it is the complement we got in DC, thanks for keeping news and opinion/ commentary separate. But what we have learned is that Industry pros like what they find with us, so they vote with their smart phones, tablets, laptops and browsers by logging on more to our site than all the other known business to business MH sites combined.
So thanks to pros like you, even in the short month of February, we hit new records:
visitors= 107,957
page views = 704,359
hits = 2,037,382
We certainly enjoy getting out and meeting Industry pros, at events in Louisville, Tulsa, DC, state and other Industry meetings. Which leads to some fun encounters. This morning, I wasn't wearing my badge at the Tulsa Show, and a gent steps up to me and says, 'I know you from somewhere, but I can't remember where.' We chatted a bit before figuring out he is a regular here at MHProNews.com.
My thanks to you and all for being a regular here too.
In closing, word has it that more are signing onto MHI's legislative fix in the aftermath of the legislative session and Congressional visits. You know we are believers in active association involvement. Be it state, community or national in a group such as MHI, please do get/stay involved. Being involved can and does pay off for our great Industry.
United we stand… ##
