Three letters, DOJ. Department of Justice. That won’t be today’s sole topic, though it is a very important one we will be sharing with you soon. We’ll tell you why our sources tell us this matters to MHVille. Because informed, legal sources tells MHProNews that the DOJ is reportedly placing MH in their “cross hairs.”
We’ll shine a spotlight that others can’t or won’t on this overlooked issue.
…plus, 2) What’s Heading to DC
This weekend, manufactured housing will see a new and exclusive, Inside MH interview video.
That video will be played from coast-to-coast by thousands of MHPros. It will be viewed in the ornate halls of the CFPB, by policy wonks, educators, the media, Congress and their staffs.
Please make no mistake on this. There are not one or two, but at least three hurdles to clear to get HR 650/S 682 – Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act – passed into law.
There’s certainly a lot of intelligent, motivated people on this important financing issue.
While tipping the hat their way, we believe there’s a clear path that will yield the desired outcome now, that will also set the stage for years of other, positive results. This is predicated on enough savvy people in the industry seeing and embracing what’s already up and what’s coming.
A case must be made that will make the CFPB and Dodd-Frank supporters think: “Huh…that’s an important, thoughtful point. There’s another, and another…”
We need to unify people behind this effort, for the sake of MH home owners and for the MH businesses and professionals.
3) Bonus question – did you watch the Debates?
Should MH be a factor in the 2016 elections? We could be. We can be. Should we ask the good folks in Arlington and DC office in MHVille; Will we be?
We’ll look at that subject soon.
