April's Rising Tide
April 2013 saw a nice uptick in new MH Shipments. The efforts in and related to our causes in Washington DC are intensifying.
For example, there was a good fund raiser for Texas' Jeb Hensarling (R-TX 5) Support for launching the Senate version of HR 1779 has drawn near. A comment I keep hearing from inside the beltway in DC is that 'you couldn't get a better Senate sponsors among Democrats that Sherrod Brown'(D-OH) to support the soon-to-be-filed Senate version of HR 1779.
The numbers signing up or committing to support HR 1779 in the House are getting better too.
But don't forget to pick up the phone, fax, email or send a letter to – or just meet with! your legislators and/or staff. Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski 's article will give you some inside insights at how Congress looks at how this can be accomplished.
Let us not forget that this MUST be done!! Which is why we asked the Congressman for his professional tips. It is one of our many fine – and timely – reads for the jolly month of June. Please check in with your state or community association and see what you can do in tandem with your peers.
Writing in the Great Outdoors
In the Manufactured Housing Revolution's preface, we noted how in this brave new world of tablets and smart phones, that you can write (work) from almost anywhere that you can get a signal.
As I write this, the band is getting ready to start up for the members and guests at Anderson Japanese Gardens. It has been nice writing this blog outdoors, after a long winter and a mostly cool spring. Make sure you put all of those tools that the modern era makes possible to work to grow your business and close more sales.
Speaking of the brave new world, there is a UAV (aka "drone") overhead…Senator Rand Paul, where are you when we need you?
