I erred. Fumbled the ball. I made a mistake. Wish I hadn’t, but there it is and all that is to be done is to admit the glitch, try to make amends and hope that all will be understood and forgiven. Please let me explain…
Greg McClanahan is one of our most dependable featured writers. If you’ve not taken the time – yet – to read his fine articles, well you’ve missed out! If you are among the many who are already reading his columns routinely, you know why his writing is so very appreciated. Greg’s short stories will either make you search for the Kleenex box, make you want to cheer – or toughest of all – make you want to do both at the same time.
Greg is one of those souls who understands the fundamental link between who we are inside and how we behave professionally. Greg ‘gets it’ when it comes to the direct relationship between that mystery that we call ‘the soul’ and the how the well formed ‘heart’ of a woman or man can move them to do what is right.
Anyway, I wish I could explain my mistake, beyond saying words like a series of long days and very short nights leading up to our new February issue. I’d love to blame ‘fatigue,’ but just as President Truman said so well, ‘the buck stops here.’ I can’t pass the buck onto someone else, I failed to put Greg’s article into the mix for the 20 or so other new articles – by our many fine writers! – for this month.
To both admit my error and to partially make amends, I want to share a list of Greg’s previous articles and their links below.
If you go through two or three of these, and you aren’t hooked, well please check your pulse…because this gent has a heart. He also has the keen mind on how a good business grows and how that relates to the hearts of people like you, me and our associates at work.

While I’m making amends and patting this member of our writing team on the back, I’ve got to thank ALL of our other writers. Everyone here volunteers their time and talent.
They do it all for…
…you.
I’ll take a moment to also say, we routinely look for new writers on industry relevant topics. We already have the widest array of top professionals writing here, along with the most industry news, both national associations, a growing number of state associations…
…all for you.
Totally unrelated, let me mention that comments posted on our blogs or articles can be done one of two ways. You can post without logging in or by logging into the DISQUS system. If you log in, you get the benefit of having other comments posted automatically sent to you. So you can get a conversation started, and see the updates as they occur. Enough on that for now.
I wish I could say that not placing Greg’s article was the ONLY mistake or misstep made of late, but that wouldn’t be true. I’ll I can say is that I believe that one can learn from most mistakes. This mistake can in part be corrected and Greg’s article will appear next month in the March issue. It’s grand, so please stay tuned!
Speaking of grand, thanks for taking the for reading our blogs, articles, news and messages. As Greg said, Leaders are readers! Thanks for the photos you send into our photo gallery. If you want to feel grand, read Greg’s articles linked above, and then check out Bob Stovall’s latest blog post, an inspirational videos that will lift your spirits, shared by our friend from West of the Rockies.
