As the pro football season approaches its climax, it is easy to think about the long passes that result in big gains or a touchdown. But one of the most interesting strategic plays is the screen pass. The defense seems to be closing in on the quarterback, the linemen seem beaten, and when ideally executed, the receiver suddenly has one or more blockers escorting him down the field. An apparent loss of yardage is turned into the big play or score!
In 2010, the Louisville Show was canceled. By contrast, in 2013, it has past the attendee count for the Tunica Show in 2012, thus becoming the largest event in terms of pure attendee count in the Industry in recent years.
For many, this was as surprising as a scoring screen pass.
