Victor Davis Hansen Goes There, Calling Events ‘A Coup’ – ‘How Did a Virus Cancel the Constitution?’ Pam Geller – ‘U.S. Govt Overthrown Without Firing a Shot’ – Claims, Evidence, and Analysis

VictorDavisHansenGoesThereCallingEventsA.CoupHowDidAVirusCancelTheConstitutionPamGellerGellerReportUSGovtOverthrownWithoutFiringAShotClaimsEvidenceAndAnalysisMastMHProNews

Pam Geller may not be precisely correct when she said that the U.S. Government was overthrown without firing a shot. Unarmed Ashley Babbitt was shot and killed inside the Capitol by Lt. Michael Byrd, who has not been held accountable for an excessive and deadly use of force. But Geller and well known Stanford University historian, author, and pundit Victor Davis Hansen are calling the events of recent years a coup that tumbled the constitutional processes. They are not alone, as others like Kohn Whitehead at the Rutherford Institute have been asserting that we are living in a post-Constitutional America, albeit still seemingly operating under its legal veneer.

The report by the WND NewsCenter provided to MHProNews on this topic follows. The relevance will be unpacked in part two of this column in the additional information with more MHProNews Analysis and Commentary in brief segment.

Respected historian asks: ‘How did a virus cancel the Constitution?’

Victor Davis Hanson suggests the U.S. has become victim of ‘a coup we never knew’

By Bob Unruh
Published January 7, 2023 at 5:55pm

A renowned historian, classicist and commentator, Victor Davis Hanson, is posing the question about “How did a virus cancel the Constitution?”

Further, he’s openly suggesting that the United States has become a victim of “a coup we never knew.”

Hanson, who has written for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, National Review, The Washington Times and more, now has a column at American Greatness that outlines what has been described as a “fed-surrection” that originated when “the seeds of sedition from within were sown under President Obama.”

Hanson’s first question: “Did someone or something seize control of the United States?”

He wonders, “What happened to the U.S. border? Where did it go? Who erased it? Why and how did 5 million people enter our country illegally? Did Congress secretly repeal our immigration laws? Did Joe Biden issue an executive order allowing foreign nationals to walk across the border and reside in the United States as they pleased?”

Then there’s the issue of money that does not “have to be paid back.”

“When did clean-burning, cheap, and abundant natural gas become the equivalent to dirty coal? How did prized natural gas that had granted America’s wishes of energy self-sufficiency, reduced pollution, and inexpensive electricity become almost overnight a pariah fuel whose extraction was a war against nature? Which lawmakers, which laws, which votes of the people declared natural gas development and pipelines near criminal?” he charged.

Commentator Pamela Geller at the Geller Report cited Hanson’s work, and said, “For some time, the Geller Report has accurately described the take-down of America as a coup. It was not hyperbolic. There was an unlawful seizure of power from a government, without firing a shot. The U.S. government was overthrown.”

She noted Hanson “is now calling it a coup. Perhaps now, the body politic will begin to understand what they are actually witnessing.”

She explained, “The seditious movement kicked off with the big lie –the Russia hoax. The death blow, the final death stroke was January 6th, the fed-surrection. But make no mistake, the seeds of sedition from within were sown under President Obama.”

Hanson wondered, “Was it not against federal law to swarm the homes of Supreme Court justices, to picket and to intimidate their households in efforts to affect their rulings? How then with impunity did bullies surround the homes of Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, John Roberts, and Clarence Thomas—furious over a court decision on abortion?”

Further, he wondered about the plan by the administration of Joe Biden for “a government Ministry of Truth? And on whose orders did the FBI contract private news organizations to censor stories it did not like and writers whom it feared?”

What about, he said, “new customs of impeaching a president over a phone call? Of the speaker of the House tearing up the State of the Union address on national television?”

“When did we assume the FBI had the right to subvert the campaign of a candidate it disliked? Was it legal suddenly for one presidential candidate to hire a foreign ex-spy to subvert the campaign of her rival?” he pointedly charged.

“Was some state or federal law passed that allowed biological males to compete in female sports? Did Congress enact such a law? Did the Supreme Court guarantee that biological male students could shower in gym locker rooms with biological women? Were women ever asked to redefine the very sports they had championed?

“When did the government pass a law depriving Americans of their freedom during a pandemic? In America can health officials simply cancel rental contracts or declare loan payments in suspension? How could it become illegal for mom-and-pop stores to sell flowers or shoes during a quarantine but not so for Walmart or Target?” he continued.

He further asked about the election manipulation that has erupted in recent years – extended voting weeks and the cloudy ways that votes now are counted.

“What happened to the once trusted FBI? Why almost overnight did its directors decide to mislead Congress, to deceive judges with concocted tales from fake dossiers and with doctored writs? Did Congress pass a law that our federal leaders in the FBI or CIA could lie with impunity under oath?” he wrote.

“How did a virus cancel the Constitution? Did the lockdowns rob of us of our sanity? Or was it the woke hysteria that ignited our collective madness?” he wondered. “We are beginning to wake up from a nightmare to a country we no longer recognize, and from a coup we never knew.”

Hanson also is a distinguished fellow of the Center for American Greatness and the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.

Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush. He authored, most recently, “The Second World Wars: How the First Global Conflict Was Fought and Won,” “The Case for Trump” and the newly released “The Dying Citizen.” ##

It isn’t just the border that’s going unenforced. Several laws relevant to manufactured housing have been going unenforced for years, despite the fact that they were enacted by widely bipartisan majorities.

A. Pam Geller of the Geller Report published this brief commentary and the entire Hansen column.

Hanson: “The Coup We Never Knew”

For some time, the Geller Report has accurately described the take-down of America as a coup. It was not hyperbolic. There was an unlawful seizure of power from a government, without firing a shot. The US government was overthrown.

Victor David [sic, i.e: Davis] Hanson, one of America’s greatest intellectuals and political theorists, is now calling it a coup. Perhaps now, the body politic will begin to understand what they are actually witnessing.

The seditious movement kicked off with the big lie –the Russia hoax. The death blow, the final death stroke was January 6th, the fed-surrection. But make no mistake, the seeds of sedition from within were sown under President Obama.

The Coup We Never Knew

We are beginning to wake up from a nightmare to a country we no longer recognize, and from a coup we never knew.

By Victor Davis Hanson, January 5, 2023

VictorDavisHansonPhotoTwitterMHProNewsDid someone or something seize control of the United States?

What happened to the U.S. border? Where did it go? Who erased it? Why and how did 5 million people enter our country illegally? Did Congress secretly repeal our immigration laws? Did Joe Biden issue an executive order allowing foreign nationals to walk across the border and reside in the United States as they pleased?

Since when did money not have to be paid back? Who insisted that the more dollars the federal government printed, the more prosperity would follow? When did America embrace zero interest? Why do we believe $30 trillion in debt is no big deal?

When did clean-burning, cheap, and abundant natural gas become the equivalent to dirty coal? How did prized natural gas that had granted America’s wishes of energy self-sufficiency, reduced pollution, and inexpensive electricity become almost overnight a pariah fuel whose extraction was a war against nature? Which lawmakers, which laws, which votes of the people declared natural gas development and pipelines near criminal?

Was it not against federal law to swarm the homes of Supreme Court justices, to picket and to intimidate their households in efforts to affect their rulings? How then with impunity did bullies surround the homes of Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, John Roberts, and Clarence Thomas—furious over a court decision on abortion? How could these mobs so easily throng our justices’ homes, with placards declaring “Off with their d—s”?

Since when did Americans create a government Ministry of Truth? And on whose orders did the FBI contract private news organizations to censor stories it did not like and writers whom it feared?

How did we wake up one morning to new customs of impeaching a president over a phone call? Of the speaker of the House tearing up the State of the Union address on national television? Of barring congressional members from serving on their assigned congressional committees?

When did we assume the FBI had the right to subvert the campaign of a candidate it disliked? Was it legal suddenly for one presidential candidate to hire a foreign ex-spy to subvert the campaign of her rival?

Was some state or federal law passed that allowed biological males to compete in female sports? Did Congress enact such a law? Did the Supreme Court guarantee that biological male students could shower in gym locker rooms with biological women? Were women ever asked to redefine the very sports they had championed?

When did the government pass a law depriving Americans of their freedom during a pandemic? In America can health officials simply cancel rental contracts or declare loan payments in suspension? How could it become illegal for mom-and-pop stores to sell flowers or shoes during a quarantine but not so for Walmart or Target?

Since when did the people decide that 70 percent of voters would not cast their ballots on Election Day? Was this revolutionary change the subject of a national debate, a heated congressional session, or the votes of dozens of state legislatures?

What happened to Election Night returns? Did the fact that Americans created more electronic ballots and computerized tallies make it take so much longer to tabulate the votes?

When did the nation abruptly decide that theft is not a crime, assault not a felony? How can thieves walk out with bags of stolen goods, without the wrath of angry shoppers, much less fear of the law?

Was there ever a national debate about the terrified flight from Afghanistan? Who planned it and why?

What happened to the once trusted FBI? Why almost overnight did its directors decide to mislead Congress, to deceive judges with concocted tales from fake dossiers and with doctored writs? Did Congress pass a law that our federal leaders in the FBI or CIA could lie with impunity under oath?

Who redefined our military and with whose consent? Who proclaimed that our chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff could call his Chinese Communist counterpart to warn him that America’s president was supposedly unstable? Was it always true that retired generals routinely libeled their commander-in-chief as a near Nazi, a Mussolini, an adherent of the tools of Auschwitz?

Were Americans ever asked whether their universities could discriminate against their sons and daughters based on their race? How did it become physically dangerous to speak the truth on a campus? Whose idea was it to reboot racial segregation and bias as “theme houses,” “safe spaces,” and “diversity”? How did that happen in America?

How did a virus cancel the Constitution? Did the lockdowns rob of us of our sanity? Or was it the woke hysteria that ignited our collective madness?

We are beginning to wake up from a nightmare to a country we no longer recognize, and from a coup we never knew. ##

B. Per the Geller Report website, “Pamela Geller is the founder, editor and publisher of The Geller Report and President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) and Stop Islamization of America (SIOA).” She is the author of multiple books, has been spotlighted by numerous mainstream press that straddles the left-right media divide. Here is her take on the Geller Report at this link here about Hanson’s column, which included the column itself.

C. Such wake up calls as Hansen’s and Geller’s beg the question, what is to be done about it?

It remains to be seen what the newly seated House of Representatives will do, now that Congressman Kevin McCarthy (CA-R) has finally been elected Speaker of the House. McCarthy publicly thanked deposed President Trump for helping him seal his speakership deal with the Republican holdouts that included members of the GOP Freedom Caucasus.  The word is that several concessions were made which aim to keep McCarthy in line with various pledges were made by the new speaker to MAGA Republicans.

The concerns raised by Hansen and Geller are ever relevant issues, as our God-given rights are supposed to be secured by the U.S. Constitution. While it is understandable that society has to go on and attempt to function as if all were normal, the reality is that not much has been normal for years. When the COVID19 pandemic was announced, the Masthead said in March 2020, approaching three years ago, that “the party is over.”

Dozens of evidence-based reports, like the one above, were published that have stood the test of time. What was once mocked or ignored has since become accepted by a growing number of mainstream sources. But all the while there have been those who were profiting wildly from what Hansen and Geller call ‘a coup.’ The report linked below was posted on September 9, 2020. While their respective fortunes have risen and slid since then, it should not be thought that their ‘play’ is over. Warren Buffett led Berkshire Hathaway, for example, has some $109 billion in cash on hand reported by Investors in December 2022, based on third quarter information.  Meaning, those with deep pockets can ‘buy the dip’ and come out wealthier than ever once the markets recover. This is how the ‘heads they win, tails you lose’ economy functions.
Step by step numbers of the issues Geller and Hansen have raised have been spotlighted here previously, despite the fact that much of mainstream media mocked those notions for months or years. Why did MHProNews cover these topics on the COVID Coup?  Why did we say when Biden was ‘sworn in’ behind fencing and a phalanx of armed soldiers that America was moving into the Vichy U.S.A. phase of its history?
Precisely because it was and remains news. Those events absolutely impacted our client base, our profession’s businesses, investors, advocates and essentially all others. When the rule of law is not operating as intended, it makes everything else somewhat illusory, like trying to catch the vapors in a fog.
What must be done? Sadly, this isn’t a quick fix. A segment of the public already knew these things Hansen and Geller are touting to be troubling but apparently true. But likely the majority, certainly tens of millions of Americans, do not know so columns like theirs are useful. Indeed, as Geller playfully but pointedly spotlighted, there has been what she called a fed-surection, not an insurrection. But it isn’t as if the U.S. is the only nation getting ‘reset.’
These statements by the WEF – which apparently gets support from Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and other American oligarchs that play a role in our profession – represent an upending of the American Dream. It would be journalistic malpractice not to bring these issues to readers’ attention.
Behind it all are the oligarchy that effectively rules America from behind the curtain. What has been called the “leech class” is sucking the lifeblood of the American Dream. Millions earning as much as 100,000 a year or more are now living paycheck to paycheck or are taking on debt due to Biden-inflation.
A combination of education and legal action must occur to remedy this scenario. In our industry, anyone who trusts the Manufactured Hypocrisy Institute (a.k.a. MHI) is either not reading enough here or are insiders getting what they want out of the rigged system. See the linked reports and surf the site to learn more. There are reasons why Webalizer 2.23 data reports that the average visitor here is doing about 3x the pageviews as the typical reader of CNN or Fox News.  Facts, evidence, common sense analysis and a willingness to call out paltering, gaslighting, and propaganda for what it is – and then provide specific examples – has resonated with our readers for years.  ##
