BerksmontNews reports the MH retail business Leo Houck began along Old Route 22 west of Hamburg, Pennsylvania, is now located in Shoemakersville, just north of Reading, and is celebrating its fiftieth birthday. His daughter, Athian Wilson, took over the business after he passed away in 1973, and now operates it with husband Rick. Averaging up to 50 homes sold each year, the business now includes furnishings for the homes, as well as transportation of a variety of mobile buildings. Houck offers single and multi section manufactured homes up to 76 feet long from Skyline and Eagle River Homes in Leola, PA. Noting the closeness of the business with the community, marketing director Lori Aul, says,“Even after you’re all settled in your home, Houck Homes will continue to treat you like you’re family.”
