The RepublicanHerald reports from Schuylkill County in Pennsylvania that Pine Grove Manufactured Homes Inc. has asked the Schuylkill County Court to reduce the fair market and assessed value of its property that was damaged by the floods of Sept. 2011, forcing the company to close the facility and move production elsewhere. The county Board of Assessment Appeals rejected Pine Grove’s appeal of the $829,890 fair market value and the $414,495 assessed value on May 8, 2012. The company asked the court to reduce the fair market and assessed values of the property. The reduction would lower tax receipts for the county and Pine Grove township. MHProNews.com has learned Schuylkill County is in eastern PA.
