Treasure Coast Palm reports from Jensen Beach, Florida, just north of West Palm Beach, the stylish manufactured home of Nancy and Dean Hunter epitomizes upscale down-sizing. Their 1,600 square foot, three bedroom manufactured house in the Pinelake Village community boasts a kitchen big enough to have a breakfast bar, dining table and an island. An attached garage, an outside deck off the living room, peaked ceilings, arched doorways and peek-a-boo windows in the master bath give it the appearance of a site-built home. Nancy says of the house, which is certified to withstand a category three hurricane, “The construction today is so different. They’re built stronger. You can pick and choose what you want.” Having lived in the community 15 years in three different houses, she now sells homes here. She says baby boomers are starting to move in. The over-55 community offers a clubhouse, library, swimming pool, exercise facilities, parties, dances, trips to outside events and educational classes.
