The owner of the Westwood Mobile Home Park in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada, is uniting with his residents in opposing a dump site the Innisfail Council is trying to locate next to the manufactured home community (MHC). Don Petersen, who has owned the community for 20 years, told 40 residents gathered during a rally at Westwood to oppose the dump, “You may notice they didn’t propose it for their backyards. We should ask some of them where they live and whether they would like that.” The city did not contact him or any of the residents beforehand, according to innisfailprovince.ca. MHProNews has learned Petersen, encouraging residents to show up at the next council meeting, said they should just select an alternate site and move on. ##
