The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained +168.62 points, +0.94 percent to end the week at 18,127.65. The NASDAQ advanced +34.04 points, +0.68 percent to finish at 5,026.42, while the S&P 500 moved up +18.83 points, +0.90 percent to end at 2,108.10.
Meanwhile, CNNMoney also tells us corporate America is sitting on so much cash they could buy Apple, Facebook and Berkshire Hathaway and still have money left over. As of the last quarter of 2014, corporate vaults were overflowing with $1.4 trillion. While it might help the economy if they would buy new equipment and hire more people, shareholders also want larger dividends.
