The NASDAQ and the S&P 500 hit new closing highs, Comcast stepped back from its attempt to take over Time-Warner, and airlines saved $3.4 billion on lower fuel costs, but passed on only $0.66 savings per fare.
The Yahoo Manufactured Housing Composite Value (MHCV) fell -0.22 percent, to close at 678. Tracked manufactured housing stocks mostly closed up, even if a small percentage, or even. Louisiana Pacific Corp. moved up the most of tracked stocks, adding +2.35 percent, while Carlyle Group slipped more than other stocks, -1.24 percent.
While on the Big Board:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up +0.12 percent, +21.45 points, to end the day at 18,080.14.
The NASDAQ moved up +0.71 percent, +30.63 points, to close at 5,092.09.
The S&P 500 also gained slightly, +0.243 percent, +4.76 points, to end at 2,117.69.
