Congress is adjourned for a two week Easter recess. When it returns on April 13, the U.S. Senate is expected to continue negotiations regarding the financial services regulatory legislation. MHI will continue to push the House and the Senate to include in a jobs package an incentive program for owners of pre-1976 homes to exchange them for new EnergyStar certified manufactured homes. We will also continue to push Congress to extend the EnergyStar tax credit for manufacturers that expired the end of 2009.

Also, when Congress returns, MHI expects to have introduced SAFE Act clarifying legislation for the manufactured housing industry.
