The ridgefieldpatch tells MHProNews from the southwest corner of Conn. the people of Ridgefield have seen a number of affordable housing units in their town recently. Currently before the Planning and Zoning Commission is a proposal for an eleven unit modular housing development. By law affordable housing developers must designate 30 percent of the units as affordable, which is about 80 percent of market rate. In exchange, developers can get approved for building higher-density housing. The application, by Ridgefield Modular Home Corp., will include at least three affordable units.
