Updating a story MHProNews.com last posted Dec. 11, 2013 regarding a new modular apartment building in New York city, the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) has received word from The Real Deal that winners of an affordable housing lottery to decide who will have the opportunity to live in the Stack, a modular apartment community in the Inwood neighborhood of New York City, will be chosen at the end of May. Winning entrants, who must meet income and occupancy restrictions, will be able to rent a one-bedroom apartment for $909 per month, or a two-bedroom unit for $1,060. Developed by Peter Gluck, and needing only 19 days to construct, the 38,000 square-foot building has 28 rental units plus 4,000 square feet of ground level retail space. ##
