A section of a report issued by the Wappingers Central School District in Wappinger Falls, New York recommends the closing of several schools and facilities, as well as reconfiguring the student makeup of others, reports the poughkeepsiejournal.com, requiring the movement of students and resources. Several parents are questioning the abruptness of the action without asking for public input. MHProNews.com has been informed the plan includes two modular classrooms that are to be eliminated, when in fact the students and many parents like the modular unit, according to what Fishkill Elementary PTA President Tracy Pelton says. Four brand new modular units at Gayhead Elementary School currently are used for storage. ##
