Modular Classrooms to form Core of New School

A late construction start due to a late spring has resulted in the development of the new St. Kateri School in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada now set to open with 12 modular classrooms in November of the 2014-2015 school year instead of at the beginning in September, 2014. Part of the Fort McMurray Catholic School District, St. Kateri will ease the overcrowding at St. Anne’s that was designed for 577 students but now accommodates nearly 900, as fortmcmurraytoday.com reports. Built to accommodate 600, whole classes will move intact with their same teachers to make the transition as smooth as possible into the new school. MHProNews.com has learned there will be several other structures in addition to the modular classrooms for the initial 400 students.##
