This off-the-grid modular retreat in Victoria, Australia is equipped with solar panels, a septic tank and rainwater cachement to minimize environmental impact.
Commissioned by a businessman who spends much of his time away, the 1,033 square-foot dwelling by modular builder Modscape is made to withstand extended periods of vacancy, requiring minimal and easy maintenance, according to inhabitat.
Set on the Murray River, the dwelling is wrapped in new zincalume topped by a layer of recycled zincalume. MHProNews has learned separately zincalume is an alloy combination of 45 percent zinc and 55 percent aluminum that reflects the heat of the sun in the summer, and retains generated heat in the winter for warmth. ##
