The Modular Home Builders Association (MHBA) is promoting a new initiative to unite all modular home builders under one roof, according to modularhomecoach.com. Executive Director Tom Hardiman says, “For years, the modular home industry has been fragmented and disjointed, underserved and underrepresented by committees, councils and for-profit entities that have come and gone. As the only full-service national organization dedicated exclusively to International Residential Code (IRC) built modular homes, the Modular Home Builders Association (MHBA) will bring the industry together.” Representing the industry on regulatory and legislative advocacy efforts while promoting modular homes to the public, the MHBA has seen company membership grow from 2 to 30 companies in 2013. As MHProNews.com has learned, the MHBA will host two industry conferences this year—one in Philadelphia in the spring, and one TBA later in the fall.
