The marshallindependent reports from Marshall in southwest Minnesota that the Lyon County Board of Commissioners has approved a three-year tax abatement for a modular housing business seeking to move to a facility in Cottonwood, just north of Marshall. C. David Hoefer of Goshen, Ind. says the as yet unnamed company would initially generate 40 jobs with the expectation of additional growth. The modular homes would be constructed from structural insulated panels (SIPS) with the target market being the oil boom area around Williston, ND. Commissioners approved the abatement pending review by the county attorney, as MHProNews has learned.
