DesignMiami/ is an international marketplace of collectibles, lighting and objets d’art from around the world emphasizing museum-quality works as well as a broad spectrum of cultural programming with lectures and panels focused on the discipline of design. MHProNews has learned from miamiherald.com, this year’s inspiration comes in part from Miami’s modern architectural style, and includes a 1944 modular home by French designer Jeane Prouve’. The 650 square foot concept house, exhibited here publicly for the first time, was inspired by the need to provide housing for World War II refugees.
