The Manufactured Housing Institute reports modular home production rose in the second quarter 2012 5.6 percent over Q2 2011. For the first six months of 2012 over 2011 the increase was 9.3 percent. A total of 6,325 modular homes were produced in the first six months of this year, including single and multi-family homes, but excluding commercial man camps and other temporary housing. Total production for 2012 is expected to be 13,300 units, an increase of 9.4 percent over 2011. As MHProNews reported earlier, production of manufactured homes for the first six months of 2012 was 27,715 units.
