NewsMail tells MHProNews 1,000 homes in the Bundaberg, Australia area will need assistance following floods that inundated Queensland in eastern Australia and shut down 300 roads, including two major highways to the state capital in Brisbane. Minister for Housing and Public Works Tim Mander says, “Right now we’ve got enough temporary camp buildings on their way to provide beds for up to 340 people and cooking facilities for roughly 650. Those buildings will start to arrive in Bundaberg over the weekend.” He says modular homes will be brought in within the coming weeks to provide more permanent housing until people can build or rebuild their own homes. Bundaberg is in east central Australia on the South Pacific coast.
