An 80-acre commercial and residential development a half-mile from Killdeer, North Dakota will include two apartment buildings and a modular hotel, all in response to nearby oil drilling in the Bakken field. The $3.9 million hotel will sport 60 rooms aimed at electricians and plumbers who are engaged in short-term oil and gas-related work, but will also offer contract rates for workers staying for extended periods, according to prairiebizmag.com. Developer Robert Andrew tells MHProNews the modular project may be completed by Jan. 2014.
