State College, Pennsylvania community members, gathering to discuss the need for affordable housing in the area, suggested modular housing as a means to meet the challenge. A woman who lives in a subsidized housing community says she spent a long time trying to find suitable lodging. “This was the only place we could find in State College with this type of subsidy.” She spends $770 a month for housing, according to what wearecentralpa.com informs MHProNews.com. John Henderson, a facilitator at the event, says, “There are a lot more people living here who need affordable housing than there is affordable housing available. We’ll take what we learned today, we will probably compile it and send it out to the people who attended this event and then we’ll continue having regular meetings.”
