Meanwhile, the Yahoo Manufactured Housing Composite Value (MHCV) advanced +3.20 percent to close at 938.4. All but two of the manufactured housing related stocks we cover advanced, or remained even, to end the first day after the Labor Day holiday. Affiliated Managers Group gained the most of tracked stocks, +3.91 percent in today’s trading, to finish the day at 180.00. Third Avenue slipped the most of stocks we follow, -1.51 percent, to end the day at $50.76.
On the Big Board:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced sharply +2.42 percent, +390.30 points, to end the day at 16,492.68.
The NASDAQ also moved up, gaining +2.73 percent, 128.01 points to close at 4,811.93.
The S&P 500 gained +2.51 percent, +48.19 points, to finish at 1,969.41.
