Virginia Walton, who drove a truck in the U. S. Army during the 1970s, and her daughter, Veronica Cowelti, a former U. S. Navy hospital corpsman who served in the Persian Gulf War and became a nurse like her mother, received $5,000 worth of improvements to their manufactured home. According to military.com, this dkoes not count the labor and the time donated by 14 Home Depot employees and a contractor. Mother and daughter both have disabilities, as MHProNews has learned, receiving the repairs through the Wounded Heroes Fund. Included in the upgrade of the 1,000 square-foot house with three-bedrooms and two baths, were all new bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, a front door and screen door. ##
