The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) informs MHProNews that the General Subcommittee of the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) conducted a conference call to consider a proposal that would provide construction for up to three multifamily dwelling units.

Responding to an October 2014 memorandum from HUD that HUD Code labeled homes can only be produced for single-family use, at its December 2014 meeting the MHCC recommended the HUD Code be utilized for construction of multifamily units. The proposed multifamily standard will be addressed by the General Subcommittee of the MHCC on May 5^th. ##
