Earl and Ruth Fredrickson own E&R Mini Storage in Kenyon, Minnesota and live in a two story house on the property. ExtraStorage says they sold the perfectly good house for a dollar and the new owner is moving it to another lot. The Fredrickson’s have bought a one-story modular house that will be delivered in 8-12 weeks and sited on the property so they can continue to manage their business from home. This marks the second time this house has been moved. The Frederickson’s bought it and moved it to its present location 45 years ago. MHProNews.com has learned since the housing downturn began, the used house-moving business has picked up 60%. One house mover says his business has increased 50% since 2008.
