Maureen Rude, the former director of the Montana Fannie Mae Partnership office and executive director of the Montana Board of Housing, will become the new Executive Director of NeighborWorks Montana in Jan., 2016, according to greatfallstribune. Rude has served as director of lending and operations for eight years.
The previous executive director, Sheila Rice, who served in that position as well as Exec. Dir. of Great Falls NeighborWorks, will become full-time Executive Director of Great Falls NeighborWorks.
Michael O’Neil, president of the board of directors, said “NeighborWorks Montana is fortunate to have such an experienced leader (Rude) agree to take the helm to grow the agency in the mortgage and multi-family lending lines of business, as well as support our statewide work with partners in homebuyer education, housing counseling and manufactured housing communities.”
In an MHProNews post from Sept. 30, 2015, the Montana Community Development Corporation (MCDC) helped the 68 residents of River Acres manufactured home community (MHC) in Missoula become a resident-owned community. The MCDC works with NeighborWorks Montana and ROC (resident-owned communities) USA to identify potential MHCs where residents can buy their communities at a fair market value.
Montana Community Development Corp. President Dave Glaser said, “As of right now, there are only five resident-owned communities that have been financed in Montana and Idaho,” Glaser explained. “But across Idaho and Montana, there are 600 possible mobile home parks” in which the owner wants to sell the land.
NeighborWorks Montana is a Community Development Financial Institution and a member of the National NeighborWorks Network. ##
