MHProNews has learned from mygrandeprairienow that a new manufactured home community (MHC) may be in the works for Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Developers are considering property currently being used for agriculture production as the site.
The city will take under advisement amending a bylaw to rezone the property, changing it from industrial to a mix of residential and commercial. At a future council meeting the city will seek comments from the public regarding an amendment of the Municipal Development Plan.
Of concern is the proximity of the CN railroad track which might require an acoustical fence to deaden the noise of passing trains. Grande Prairie is in west central Alberta. ##
