The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) tells MHProNews the new year’s production of HUD Code homes in January got off to a roaring start, as statistics from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reveal 5,862 homes were produced. That is an increase of 17.9 percent over the 4,969 HUD Code homes produced in Jan., 2015.

Texas continues to dominate the number one spot of the top ten shipment states by far. While the nine following states for shipments has remained the same, several other states, not in the top ten, contributed to the Jan. totals: Michigan, 278 homes; South Carolina, 239 homes; Georgia, 179 homes; Virginia, 127 homes; Pennsylvania, 119 homes; and Arizona and Arkansas both received 114 homes .##
