The Manufactured Housing Composite Value and most tracked MH stocks lost ground today. Brent crude, the global benchmark for oil, hovered around a new low of $56 a barrel, heading for its largest annual decline since 2008. Oil inventories declined more than expected last week.
CNN Money points out that stocks rose 11.4% in 2014. If you put money in stocks in 2014, you were likely a savvy investor. The Dow finished the year up 7.5%, the S&P 500 rose 11.4%, and the tech-heavy NASDAQ soared 13.4%. This was the third straight year that the popular S&P 500 Index scored double-digit gains. We haven’t seen that kind of a winning streak since the late 1990s.
