From New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay Today, MHProNews.com learns that Pacific Wood Products (PWP) will close a plant in Napier and comes with the loss of 41 jobs. “The business has struggled to maintain financial viability, given the current conditions of low demand for its products,” a statement read. the company manufactures a range of timber products for appearance grade use in house construction and renovation. Most are exported to Australia. PWP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-owned Pan Pac Forest products NZ.
