Nobility Homes Spikes; Nasdaq Gains for Eighth Straight Day

The Nasdaq continued its eighth day advancing, closing at its highest level since Jan. 2000, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped and the S&P moved up slightly. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average nudged down -23.99 points, -0.15 percent, to end the day at 16,130.40. The Nasdaq added +0.68 percent, +28.75 points, to finish at 4,272.78, while the S&P edged up +2.13 points, +0.12 percent, to end the day at 1,840.76. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite remained at 689.9. Housing stocks we track in today’s trading closed mixed or even, but Nobility Homes gained the most, moving up +7.00 percent, +0.70, to close at 10.70. Louisiana Pacific Industries fell the most of stocks we follow, dropping -3.01 percent, -0.54, to end the day at 17.41. Affiliated Managers Group 189.87 -0.71 (-0.37%).
