The General Assembly of North Carolina is considering House Bill 625 which would allow a temporary transportable residential structure to be sited on lots zoned single-family residential to care for a physically or mentally impaired person, providing the housing unit complies with all federal, state and local building codes and regulations. The proposal, an act relating to zoning provisions for temporary manufactured home health care structures, is part of a Senate Finance Committee amendment, and is similar to one in Virginia, as MHProNews understands.
