Hotel development and management firm Newcrestimage is partnering with Guerdon Modular Buildings to construct a 142-room AC Hotel Bricktown in Oklahoma City, reports modularhomecoach to MHProNews.
The first floor of the building will be conventional construction, followed by four floors of 81 modules built by Guerdon at their plant in Boise, Idaho, and trucked over and lifted by cranes into place, beginning in Oct. 2016.
All rooms and finishes will be done according to AC Hotel specifications reflecting stylish, European-inspired accommodations. This will be the city’s first modular built hotel, and contributes to the revival of the Bricktown neighborhood. The hotel is set to open June 2017.
Newcrestimage is known for developing distinctive hotels, which it builds and manages out of its headquarters in Dallas. The privately-owned firm owns and operates 19 properties, with another dozen hotels in some stage of building.
Guerdon develops large scale modular construction projects and multifamily housing in the western U. S. and Canada. ##
