The Foremost Homes modular home factory near Mercersburg, Pennsylvania is at the middle of a custody dispute between the former and current owner, which modularhomebuilder says may be prompting the auction of equipment on July 13, 2016. Foremost is comprised of two factories, the modular home plant and the panel-making plant, but it is the latter’s equipment that is being offered first.

The new owner, GLD Foremost Holdings LLC and Daniel Gordon claim the former owner, Ralph Michael, misled and defrauded them. Michael claims GLD began dismantling the company before the agreement was executed, and that he has only received $1 million of the $3 million owed.

There is also an ongoing dispute about the sale of real estate by Michael to family members prior to the sale, as MHProNews understands.

Court of Common Pleas Judge Shawn D. Meyers wrote, “There is an ongoing dispute in the federal courts as to who owns Foremost and the real property titled in the name of Foremost.” ##
