Palomar Modular Buildings, a Texas based direct manufacturer of custom commercial modular buildings, has announced the development of a multi-use dining facility for remote oilfield housing camps. The company says a series of designs will allow food service companies and property management groups to provide man camps with an all in one building that provides an industrial kitchen, dining area, snack bar, recreational canteen, workout area, laundry, and mud rooms with individual lockers. Palomar president John Martin says these buildings will serve the fast growing camps in Colorado and Wyoming with a much more efficient and economical answer to the expanding comfort needs of the growing oil field workforce. “The company’s studies have shown that providing a building with these varied amenities assures a camp site will have a positive impact on worker well being during downtime,” Martin says.
