The Advocate informs MHProNews from Clinton, LA north of Baton Rouge, the Police Jury has a new ordinance that governs the siting of manufactured homes in unincorporated areas of the parish. The version chosen was the one supported by the parish’s Planning and Zoning Commission over one proposed by jury official Mike Salmon who had contacted a Tallahassee, Fla. law firm that incorporates government ordinances into codified form. District Attorney Sam D’Aquilla suggested the old ordinance be revoked because the new version has numerous changes. In LA the Police Jury is the legislative and executive government of the parish in 41 of the 64 parishes, and is elected by the voters. No other information about the new ordinance was immediately available.
