Navy veteran, musician and manufactured housing industry professional Roderick Dennis “Monty” Montange, 80, has passed at his home on Friday July 7, 2017.
Montange was born to parents Rodrick and Evelyn Montagne on August 23, 1936 in Fargo, North Dakota – per the Billings Gazette.
It wasn’t until after his time in the Navy, where he met his wife, Beatrice Joanne Borsvold, that he moved to Montana where he lived out the rest of his life.
Though he served in the military, it was in manufactured housing that “Monty” said was his favorite career. That was reflected in the fact that it was also the industry he spent the most time in.
Along with working in the manufactured housing industry, Montange also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.
He played local venues with other local bands and musicians, though he enjoyed it most when the opportunity arose to sing with his wife.
Survived by Montange is his wife Beatrice, their three sons Dennis, Roderick and Donald, brothers Pierre and Gary, and sisters Sandra, Linda and Margret, as well as his brother-in-law, Robert Borsvold, and a number of both grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
