staceypageonline reports the Syracuse (Indiana) Town Council honored a request from Patrick Industries for a ten year tax abatement on personal property and a three year real estate abatement for expanding its operations into the former Liberty Homes facility, which will bring 65 new jobs to the area. The state is also approving an incentive package. Additionally, the Kosciusko (County) Economic Development Corporation will approve a $25,000 grant to help with renovating the Liberty building and with moving expenses based on Patrick’s paying an above average wage to its employees. The acquisition of the Liberty Homes plant will double Patrick’s space as it expands its work force to 240. Initial investment will be up to $1 million to convert the Liberty Homes building, and another million to purchase equipment. MHProNews has learned Patrick Industries, a supplier of building products and materials to the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries, purchased AIA countertops in Sept 2011.
