The Greens party in Australia wants woods from Southwest Australia used to make modular homes to address housing affordability issues in the country, according to abc.net.au. Greens Senator Scott Ludlam tells MHProNews, “We think there’s a good story here for manufacturing, for skills development, for better use of plantation timber and for the housing affordability crisis. I don’t have any illusions that you could do this overnight but as an industry development policy that hits a number of markers at the same time, I seriously think it’s worth pursuing.” ##
