The Virginia Manufactured and Modular Housing Association (VAMMHA) informs MHProNews.com that U. S. Congressman Randy Forbes (R-Chesapeake) has signed on as co-sponsor of the Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act (HR 1779). He joins fellow Virginians Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Roanoke) and Rep. Robert Hurt (R-Chatham) as supporters of the legislation. Introduced with bi-partisan support in the House, HR 1779 would revise the high-cost mortgage triggers for manufactured home loans and clarify the term “loan originator” as it applies to selling manufactured homes.
