A percentage of the U.S. population, roughly 22 million Americans, live in a pre-HUD Code mobile home or one of millions of post-HUD Code manufactured homes.
Some of those residents are currently or were previously lawmakers, as MHProNews and/or MHLivingNews has periodically spotlighted. For instance, Senator Thom Tillis (NC-R) was raised in what he called a ‘mobile home.’
One of those lawmakers with ties to manufactured home living is West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans. Evans was arrested in a manufactured home today, according to video capture by WSAZ photojournalist Chad Hedrick.

Hedrick spoke briefly to a woman who identifies herself as Evan’s mother, who sounds off in a seemingly anti-Trump tone.
#BREAKING WV Delegate Derrick Evans has been taken into federal custody.
He’s charged after allegedly entering a restricted area of the US Capitol with rioters Wednesday.

There is more on this lawmaker in the featured focus segment further below, including the statement from Evan’s attorney the day before his arrest. That follows the quotable quotes, left-right headlines for tonight, and 2 of the 3 market graphics at the close. It is worth mentioning that the markets largely moved up today during these troubling events.

Where Business, Politics and Investing Can Meet
Civil rights attorney, John H. Bryan posted beyond this next video is from the lawyer’s website on 1.7.2021. It is near polar opposite of what the state’s governor said to mainstream news.
“A Statement on Behalf of Delegate Derrick Evans
Enough of the false information about West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans and his presence at the Capitol protest. Things aren’t always what they seem. Also, the media doesn’t always tell you the whole story. Here’s what really happened:”
That document about Evans from attorney Bryan is linked here as a download. WSAZ was the only news organization on the location, per their photo journalist, when this FBI arrest was made. Doesn’t that sound like the FBI, and/or others in law enforcement who had been tipped, to help ‘make an example’ of someone who had crossed into the Capitol Building on 1.6.2021 without permission?

This is video that Evan’s purportedly made inside the Capitol building.
