Mary McBrady, the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) informs MHProNews that newly-elected 6th District Congressman Seth Moulton of MA broke ranks with Democrats to vote in favor of H. R. 650 Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing in its 263 yeas to 162 nays victorious passage in the House. Only 21 other Democrats voted in favor of the measure.
The bill was introduced in the last session of Congress to repair unintended consequences of the Dodd-Frank Act, but did not make it to the floor of the House until this session. It was introduced by bi-partisan members of the House Financial Services committee, and led by Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-TN). The measure will now go to the U. S. Senate for their consideration. ##
