MHProNews has learned from rejournals Farmington Hills, Michigan-based RHP Properties acquired 18 new manufactured home communities (MHC) in 2015, and it now owns 226 MHCs in 23 states. With over 56,349 home sites, the company touts itself as the second largest private owner of MHCs in the nation, according to the company website.
In March of 2015 the company acquired a 515 home site MHC in Kansas, followed by the July, 2015 purchase of two high-end communities in Las Vegas totaling 609 sites. In Sept. the company acquired two MHCs in Colorado Springs with 387 home sites. Finally, in Nov., RHP finalized the purchase of 13 communities totaling 4,027 sites in Florida, New York, Texas, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan and North Carolina.
The value of all 5,538 acquired communities is $220 million. The company sales and marketing wing is Bayshore Home Sales which sells over 450 new and used manufactured homes per month. ##
