From California and the Santa Barbara Independent, MHProNews.com learns that Supervisors there will soon decide on legislation related to mobile home community closures. According to the article, while no parks are slated for closure, next week the county Board of Supervisors could vote on the first ever mobile home park closure ordinance, which the article reports would make such closure very expensive and highly unlikely. The provisions could include requiring owners to be compensated for full on-site home values at market rates.
