From California, the Lookout News reports that the Santa Monica City Council approved new funding to help residents of Santa Monica’s oldest mobile home community upgrade to new manufactured homes. The financing program for new manufactured homes at Mountain View Mobile Home Park will facilitate the purchase of a maximum of 54 new manufactured homes, not to exceed $9,222,500. The report indicates the program includes three options for residents: a deferred payment loan, lease-to-own and renting from the City, which bought the park ten years ago. We suggest they also consider changing the community name to reflect the upgrade.
